We are currently recruiting support workers to offer high quality support cover within our 24 hour supported living service. We are developing 3 new support packages for 3 gentlemen in the Plymouth area- all living individually in their own homes. They will all like a support team that are fun, bubbly, resilient, committed, transparent approach, confident, a support team that value them for who they are.

The right support needs to be able to keep each individual safe and be able to build a strong relationship with them. They require a team that can support them to access the community, and that are willing to take positive risks, team members to drive forward new experiences, provide outcome based support and focus on positive behaviour support. They need a team that will work therapeutically providing regular and stimulating activities throughout the day.

They require a team to work day hours between 8am-11pm (7 days per week) and sleep over support. Also for one gentleman waking night- hours between 10pm-8am (7 days per week) They require an experienced team to have a good knowledge of autism intelligence around process and communication, MAPA training and total communication/Makaton. However, training can be given.

We a registered charity and a company limited by guarantee that operates as a provider of social care services for people with learning disabilities and autistic spectrum condition.

We have vast experience in supporting people who have previously challenged services and require very high support needs. People who once lived in hospital settings now live successfully in their own homes and have become valued members of their communities. We achieve this by delivering support that values and builds on people's interests, skills and abilities, promoting self-esteem, dignity and respect.

We provide and resource a wide range of training programmes which are made available to staff. Working towards this nationally recognised standard of excellence has created a positive learning culture within our organisation and as a result we have an excellent record in developing our staff team.

We are also an accredited centre with the following Awarding Organisations; OCR, and Royal Society for Public Health. Through these partnerships we are able to offer a diverse range of qualification opportunities within a number of vocational areas including;

We ensure that the correct training is provided to all staff, based on their needs, and the needs of the services they work in. All staff are able to access specialist external training, where necessary, to further develop their skills and confidence in supporting people with learning disabilities and mental health needs.
