Role & purpose

Resource Futures is committed to a vision of everybody using resources sustainably. We are a purpose-driven company which contributes to the communities we work and live in.

The Community Action Group (CAG) Devon project was started in April 2016 as an innovative initiative to reduce waste in mid Devon, with a particular focus on the town of Tiverton. Based on the CAG Oxfordshire model and working with engaged community groups and local champions, local residents are encouraged and supported to reduce their waste by using a mixture of behaviour change techniques and key messaging. Now entering its second year, a huge amount has already been achieved.

With support from the Community Engagement Co-ordinator you will assist in the management of the CAG Devon project. This will involve assisting with establishing, supporting and developing the activities of local champions and established community groups, as well as supporting the development of further local action groups, around waste issues. It also includes supporting the development of the project overall including the relationship between community group members, local authorities and key stakeholders.

You should have a passion for working with community groups and enjoy the challenge of solving problems. Resource Futures is a B Corp certified company and we believe business can be a positive force for social and environmental improvement, if you share these values then we would love to hear from you.
