Designer - Leading Tiling Company
Newton Abbot, Devon

Fancy seeing your designs in national retailers such as B&Q, Homebase and Wickes, to name a few? Want to hone your skills and grow with a business that focuses on innovation and collaboration? If so, we'd love to hear from you.

About Us:

British Ceramic Tile is the nation's largest manufacturer of high quality ceramic tiles and we're looking for a Designer to join our team. We're proud to say that everyone in our business, whatever their role, plays a pivotal part in our ongoing innovation and success.

This is an outstanding opportunity to take the next step in your career as a Designer and transform trends into tiles with a highly successful business.

The Benefits:

- Salary of up to £23,000 DOE
- Free on-site parking
- Company pension
- Product discounts
- Great development opportunities and a team ethos
- Health cash back scheme
- 33 days' holiday (including bank holidays and a Christmas break)

Here at British Ceramic Tile, we are proud of our amazing and versatile ranges and you will have the chance to play a key role in adding breadth and depth to our portfolio of products.

Our inspiration comes from all aspects of the world around us and we're continuously visiting technological events, interior shows and exhibitions to hone our craft and challenge the status quo.

We believe in encouraging our people to pursue their ambitions, trust their creative gut and develop in every way possible in order to reach their full potential.

Your Role:

As one of our Designers, you'll translate seasonal trends into innovative, interior inspired designs.

Working closely with our Marketing Team, you'll thrill customers by producing inspiring designs and effects for ceramic and glass products. You'll maintain your awareness of the market and emerging trends to ensure that we deliver the very best to our customers every time.

We believe that collaboration is key to creating outstanding products, so you'll be required to travel to customers and suppliers, both locally, nationally and abroad on occasion.

About You:

To become a member of the British Ceramic Tile team, you'll need:

- Previous studio experience
- Excellent Adobe Photoshop skills and a good level of IT literacy
- A flexible approach to working hours
- The willingness to travel
- A creative mindset and outstanding eye for detail

Ideally, you'll also have a degree (or equivalent) in design, but this is by no means essential. What's more important is your passion for interiors and determination to delight customers.

We are eager to hear from you if you've held the title of Creative Designer, Studio Designer or Product Designer. Other organisations may call this role a Tile Product Designer, Creative Product Designer, or Interior Product Designer.

The closing date for applications is Friday 19th May 2017.

Webrecruit and British Ceramic Tile are equal opportunities employers, value diversity and are strongly committed to providing equal employment opportunities for all employees and all applicants for employment. Equal opportunities are the only acceptable way to conduct business and we believe that the more inclusive our environments are, the better our work will be.

So, if you have the creativity and drive to become one of our Designers, please apply via the button shown. This vacancy is being advertised by Webrecruit. The services advertised by Webrecruit are those of an Employment Agency.
