Mental Health Support Worker

Caraston Hall Support and Housing are expanding their services in Plymouth and are looking to recruit four experienced, enthusiastic and motivated full time Mental Health Support Workers, to work at our 24-hour service, supporting adults with enduring mental health needs, learning difficulties and other complex needs.

The support we provide is person centred and focuses on the recovery model of support, enabling people to reach their full potential and gain or regain skills to achieve full independence where possible.

.Our support focuses on helping clients to develop their daily living and social skills, manage behavioural difficulties, manage medication, build healthy relationships, develop interests and pursue community based leisure, learning and employment opportunities.

We offer a great working environment with warm, supportive managers. Full induction, training and development is provided including the option to study for the NVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care. The successful applicants will be required to work days, evenings and sleep in nights on a rota basis and will be required to provide an enhanced DBS, costs will be met by the employer.

SALARY -  £8 per hour plus £47 per sleep-in shift (equates to approximately £18,000 per year for a full-time position).

HOLIDAY -  you will received 20 days paid annual leave plus 8 Bank Holidays for a 37.5 hour week. 

Full time contract - 37.5 hours per week.  Start date for all posts 01.06.17
