Programme Leaders Foundation Maths
Full time Programme Leaders Foundation Maths - maternity cover
Salary: £21,534 - £34,757 plus excellent benefits
We have a number of opportunities available to join the maths teams in the Faculty of Maths and Science. The faculty was awarded grade 1 in the Ofsted inspection in 2014 and is internally assessed as grade 1. We deliver a range of maths and science courses at levels two and three and boast excellent progress and success rates. This role is to provide maternity cover within Foundation maths (GCSE maths and Functional Skills across the college).
The Maths team is experienced, supportive and has a strong commitment to sharing ideas and resources. You will be mentored and supported by the Leader for Cross College Foundation Maths and the Assistant Leader. You will also have a mentor and a faculty-based Learning Lead. The faculty is based in new purpose-built facilities in the Maths and Science Centre, although we generally deliver Foundation Maths to groups of students based in the faculty of their main curriculum subject.
Depending upon your skill set and experience, there is scope for the successful candidate to specialise in Foundation Maths and also teach Level 3 Maths.
The Programme Leader aspect of the role involves taking responsibility for an element of the work of the team, for example ILT or student tracking, but overall coordination sits with the Lead for Cross College Maths.
Part time hours will be considered as we are seeking to appoint candidates with the greatest ability, enthusiasm and commitment to excellence in the classroom. We also have scope to offer an Associate Lecturer contract to those wanting more limited part time or flexible work. If you fit the bill and teach maths, your application will be welcome! Please specify if you are looking for part time or full time hours.
Successful applicants will be required to undertake an enhanced disclosure by the DBS.
We do not accept CV’s, no agencies please.
Exeter College is committed to promoting equality of opportunity and access for all, irrespective of age, background, race, gender, religion, ability, disability or sexuality. We welcome applications for employment from the whole community.
