Renewable Energy Investment Analyst. Location: South West. Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 Green Recruitment Solutions are currently seeking a strong Analyst to join a leading national and Internationally reaching Investment. They are a top-tier firm which invests globally in many verticals including renewable energy; which this position specialises in. For this reason, they seek to recruit for this exciting, challenging and fast-paced, yet rewarding role; ideal for a candidate who possesses strong numerical, financial and analytic skills and a specific passion for renewable energy. They must also have keen eye for detail and can produce high-performance standards consistently; accurately identifying opportunities for investment and producing, numerical, infrastructure related written reports. Responsibilities: - To work across several energy projects within the company's portfolio and provide investment analytic consultancy and expertise. In turn, using analysis to accurately identify financial trends either in the market, to advise on building new business, or based on current portfolio to increase profitability of held energy assets - Be involved in bi-annual, annual or semi-annual financial reviews of groups valuations and to offer expertise in updating company's projections; advice and suggestion on research and financial analysis - Capability to analyse and examine numerous portfolios with a goal of identifying key cost saving areas or areas to enhance value; such as the sale of projects, purchase of further assets, fund raising etc. - Strong administrative abilities and their application to update forecast models; which may ultimately be used to plan future business ventures (factoring debt and equity or asset raising) - To support from the beginning to end of the investments lifecycle; from origin to analysis, documentation production and execution of investment. Willing to be agile and flexible in this new and dynamic role - Be instrumental in presentations prep and report provision, pertaining to investment ideas, and being competent in providing this to senior individual and interested parties Essential Requirements: - Degree education and strong academic track record; specifically, in financially related subjects (Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Renewable Energy Engineering) - A strong desire and willing ability to live, commute and/or relocate to the South West (Exeter) for the position - A solid understanding or work experience in renewable energy investment would be advantageous but not essential. More important, the ideal candidate will have passion to specialise in the topic of renewable energy; which would be more desirable if coupled with strong financial analytic skills - Strongly proficient in financially challenging tasks and a keen eye for, and attention to, detail; with a precision in investment analysis, trend and pattern recognition and risk/return projections. This is particularly relevant in all analytical requirements; specifically, documentation and reports production in relation to financial analysis of investment opportunities - Understanding of key marketable and sales influencers relating to current portfolios of energy and assets, identifying new business and ability to identify what these key influencers are and how they affect value - An ability to digest and produce results from complex matters quickly and proficiently whilst understanding the need to dedicate themselves to learning and growth, through self-improvement and CPD; in turn improving and enhancing their skills in an enthusiastic way - An ability to work consistently on multiple projects. Working closely with the small, but growing, specialist team and when reporting to peers (junior to senior) from diverse backgrounds; delivering results to strict deadlines and across an ever-evolving energy landscape
