Our client is a well-established independent family run business who have been operating for almost a century. They are now seeking a Retail/Operations Supervisor to join their team. You will be working at the main store and will be responsible for the day to day performance and the smooth operating of the store. As the Retail/Operations Supervisor, your duties will include: Delivering a commitment to provide high quality products to its customers and clientsDealing with customer queries and complaintsOversee & supervise a team of between 4 - 12 servers (seasonal fluctuations)Initiate action and achieve goalsFollow-up and follow through with disciplineEnsure the store opens and closes at the appropriate timeOperate the cash register and follow Correct procedures for cash transactions and bank depositsResponsible for checking inventory and stock rotationMaintain and process orders for products and suppliesSupport to oversee and organise the visual merchandising of storeBuilding rapport with wholesale clientsAble to review, understand and analyse reporting resultsFollow the company policies and procedures, for food safety and cleaning standards including those for cash handing and /securityConsistently monitor product and waste costs to remain within goalsRepresenting company at some events and functionsAny other duties as deemed reasonable by the Company To secure thisRetail/Operations Supervisor, you will have the following skills and experience: A Passion for exceptional serviceExperience in the food retail industryPrevious supervisory experience and have strong leadership skillsTo be able to think on their feet and problem solve under pressureThe ability to multi-task effectively is requiredBe a self-motivated and reliableAbility to adapt to customer and employee needs as well as store environment conditionsAbility to identify the most effective team alignment to enhance performanceNeed a Positive approach to training, developing and interacting with all levels of the store teamThe ability to direct and manage a diverse staffComputer proficiency in Microsoft Excel and WordMust be able to lift 15lbs. routinely and up to 30 lbs. occasionallyFood hygiene level 2 certificate The successful candidate will enjoy: Full induction training You will be required to work 3/4 days a week including a Saturday or Sunday The hourly rate will be £8.60 WestCountry Recruitment acts as an Employment Agency for permanent employment, and an Employment Business for temporary employment.
