Estimator - Construction

We aim to create great results for our customers, partners and ourselves. Opportunity: We have a fantastic opportunity within our Construction business for an ambitious and talented Estimator. The successful candidate will be joining the existing team of passionate and dedicated managers. We are looking for managers who have a wealth of knowledge in the main contracting market. Experience of working on Educational, Healthcare, Leisure or Defence schemes between £5 and £10 million is an advantage. We are looking for people who share our passion for the project at hand whilst also being able to work within a fun and hardworking team environment. Responsibilities: As an estimator you will: - Be responsible for managing and preparing tenders from first principles - Coordinating and challenging the input from the wider construction team including procurement, - Engineering, commercial and supporting the bid management and quality submission requirements. Already experienced as an estimator you will Degree educated and will be able to demonstrate an understanding of the use of first principle estimating. You will have a sound working knowledge of project management principles and an awareness of current health and safety requirements and changes. You will have experience with a main construction contractor working on similar projects including leisure, education & commercial. About the Plymouth Team : The Plymouth Team has completed some exceptional projects in recent years, including a number of varied schemes at The University of Exeter and are just completing a large self-storage unit in Exeter for Britannia Lanes, to name but a few. With a full order book for 2017, we are looking to continue and exceed the performance witnessed in 2016.
