We are looking for an experienced Finance Assistant / Administrator to join a small Finance team in Newton Abbot on a temporary basis to cover for maternity leave. With an immediate start date, the post is expected to continue until August 2017.

The post-holder will primarily be responsible for:

- Processing & Checking Weekly & Monthly Payroll
- Paying & Checking invoices and handling calls from Credit Controllers
- Receiving and processing telephone payments from customers and logging the payments under the correct accounts

As this position is temporary, experience of the above tasks is required as the successful candidate will be expected to "hit the ground running" with minimal training. As such, a finance background focused towards Payroll, Payment processing and some knowledge of Credit Control would be advantageous along with the ability to handle inbound telephone calls from both suppliers and customers. All systems are computerised and as such IT literacy with particular focus on Excel is required.

Working a 30 hour week over 4 or 5 days (exact pattern to be agreed at interview), a generous hourly rate of GBP10.08 is offered for this role, along with holiday pay, pension, free on-site parking and a great working environment!
