Great opportunity to join a first class team in an expanding company as a Junior Business Analyst with a remit to document & design processes across the whole of business. Based in the beautiful South West of England. Title: Junior Business Analyst. Location: Cornwall commutable from Exeter, Plymouth, Launceston, Callington, Tavistock, Okehampton, Newquay, Truro, Bodmin. Duration: Permanent. Start: ASAP. Client will wait for the right person. Salary: c£25,000 pa plus benefits. Job Summary. The business applications team is responsible for supporting the design & development of both custom & core product features by working with domain experts to solicit & identify business requirements, address usability concerns, & document solutions. The Junior Business Analyst supports the business throughout the project lifecycle & will play an integral part of the product design process. Under the direction of Business Applications Manager, you will aide in documenting both business requirements & comprehensive solutions for several projects. Additionally, the Junior Business Analyst will: Provide low level support & coordination of the information & technology systems for the company. Document the systems that support end users in the productive use of processes & computer hardware & software. Develop & implements user-training programs. Responsibilities: Under direction of a supervisor, assist with the daily management of operational functions of the Project Team, including preparation & minutes for standing meetings, reporting processes, information flow. Under the direction of a supervisor, provide documentation support for requirements gathering; process analysis; gap analysis; design of new functionality; & product testing. Participate in project walkthroughs: business requirements gathering, design walkthrough, functional test plans & implementation sessions. Develop & maintains the business process & systems architecture. Develop periodic project progress reports. Manage written communications between stakeholders & internal business units. Manage & maintain content management & control processes & tools. Competencies Required. Commercial experience in analysis or systems support. The ideal candidate will also have: Proven working experience as an analyst at a junior level. BSc (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, MIS or similar field Self-motivation, and an independent, cooperative, flexible, creative attitude. Current driver's license & access to reliable transportation; ability & willingness to travel when necessary. Proven skills in: Time management & organizing. Communication skills. Being a team player that motivates & educates other team members. Additional Competencies. Excellent analytical & critical thinking skills - able to analyse & solve problems. Ability to identify & document solutions to complex business problems with accuracy. Attention to detail. Knowledge of Microsoft applications, Word, Visio.
