My Client is one of the most respected and reliable Quantity Surveying and Construction Consultancy firms in the South West. Customer service is the key to the success of my client with all there projects being overseen by there Directors. Job Description: To carry out the role of Quantity Surveyor / Employers Agent / CDM Principal Designer. To act in any or all of the above roles although it is anticipated that the majority of the time you will be carrying out the EA role. The senior nature of the role will allow the post holder to generate income and leads to assist in the growth of the business. Supervision of junior surveyors requires an element of mentoring and coaching to ensure their onward personal development. Criteria: Essential; Education Degree or equivalent Demonstration of on-going CPD Qualification, Certification, Professional Memberships Driving licence Desire to achieve Chartered Status Experience Minimum of 5 years in a similar, senior role Cost Management Project Management Understanding of Housebuilding Working with JCT D&B Working as part of a team Knowledge/ skills Working knowledge of CDM regulations IT: MS Works, Excel, Outlook Varied CPD record Understanding of sustainable technologies Understanding of construction technology / Building Regs Knowledge of Construction costs Work-related attributes, qualities, competencies Adaptable Recognises risks to the business or its service delivery Ambitious Good at prioritising and working under pressure Keen to drive positive change Customer focused Proactive - looks ahead to identify challenges Problem solver Good communicator Develops self and others Recognises the needs of the business over own challenges Commercially aware Developers new workstreams and manages clients Desirable Criteria: Education RICS accredited Degree Other construction relation degree Qualification, Certification, Professional Memberships MRICS Membership of other Construction relayed Professional Body Experience Acting as Employers Agent on JCT D&B Acting as QS on JCT intermediate and Standard with Quantities Building Surveying Party Wall Acting as CDM PD Procurement of Affordable Housing Leading a team Working with RPs Healthcare Knowledge/ skills Detailed knowledge of CDM regulations IT: MS Project, Powerpoint Detailed knowledge of sustainable techniques / technologies Understanding of construction programming Work-related attributes, qualities, competencies Leadership skills Identifies and exploits opportunities to grow the business Developers new processes to suit the business Flexible approach to workload and willing to work extended hours to accommodate deadlines as necessary Able to present to groups Excellent coaching and mentoring skills As well as a healthy salary for the right person, my client is part of a workplace pension scheme, you will receive £5,000 car allowance and private healthcare.
