Finance Analyst/Management Accountant
We are actively seeking a finance analyst/management accountant for a company based in Crediton. This role provides an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual who is looking to progress their career in finance. Ideally you will be fully qualified or part qualified CIMA,with at least 2 years experience in a management accountant position. You will be an experienced analyst with strong excel skills and have the ability to work to deadlines under pressure. Good commercial/operational awareness is required ,an ability to manage other's expectations, process knowledge with effective decision making skills and the ability to present financial information to non-financial managers. The role is broad giving the right candidate scope to become involved with all different aspects of the supply chain. Key elements include: ·Business partnering the Supply Chain Leadership Team. Evaluating performance, input to regular and ad-hoc meetings, supporting and challenging ideas and decisions ·Forecasting all elements of the Supply Chain and variance analysis ·Financial control of the area including posting journals, accruals, stock reconciliations ·Standard costing including calculation, variance analysis, product changes, scope costing ·Supporting cost reduction initiatives You will business partner the Supply Chain Team in the pursuit of genuine insight, developing opportunities that will drive profitable growth for the company whilst maintaining high levels of financial control. Primary Accountabilities / Responsibilities Know the ethical and legal compliance responsibilities of the position; raise questions and concerns when faced with an ethical or compliance issue; apply integrity in all aspects of professional conduct 2.Business Partnering with the Supply Chain Leadership Team (SCLT) and their direct reports. You will challenge and support these people with regards to the decisions they want to make by providing information on performance, evaluating their decisions and challenging their ideas. 3.Business partner the purchasing team working with them to challenge and forecast. 4.Attend and input into the weekly Supply Chain Team meeting & Production Review meeting. Challenging on spend, performance and material wastage. 5.Support for budget management, this includes accurate forecasting, journal entries and variance analysis. 6.Financial control of the operations finance area including posting accruals and pre-payments. Balance sheet management and reconciliations for stock and fixed assets. 7. Evaluating and challenging capital expenditure and ensuring that it is properly accounted for. 8.Support and input into the Supply Review process by running the reports and preparing the presentation materials. Ensure effective dialogue at monthly Supply Review meetings through insightful reporting and summarisation of overall business position versus targets. 9.Manage the quarterly fully absorbed standard cost setting process, ensure the ERP system is accurate, hold regular standard review meetings and reconcile standard costing variances. 10.Calculate and advise on scope costs for projects and product changes. 11.Deliver insightful commentary on actual Supply Chain performance at month end. 12.Support business partners to manage projects which drive cost reduction initiatives across the Supply Chain. 13.Ad hoc analysis as requested by business partners and the Finance Manager.
