A new position has arisen for one of our clients, a growing and successful quality precision marine engineering company based in Newton Abbot. They are on the look out for a Pattern Maker on a permanent basis. Main Duties - Analyse engineering drawing - Producing precision patterns using wood working techniques - Hand finishing of patterns to meet specification - Machining of patterns to meet specification - Inspect final finished patterns - Strict adherence to quality procedures - Daily maintenance of workplace and equipment - Follow Health & Safety procedures - Maintain all required records Person Specification - Working knowledge of Cabinet Making methods and practices - Working knowledge of woodworking machines - Ability to use measuring equipment - Product knowledge - Mathematical calculations - Basic computer skills All successful post holders must hold a completed Cabinet Making Apprenticeship and/or 2 years previous experience. Hours of work will be Monday to Thursday 7:30am to 4:00pm, Friday 7:30am to 3:00pm.
