The role involves taking responsibility for ensuring that all food and beverages within the hotel are delivered in a professional manner in the absence of the Restaurant Manager and to assist the Restaurant Manager with the daily operations within the F&B Department. The successful candidate will be required to ensure that all guest expectations are met or exceeded and to provide outstanding hospitality at all times. The Assistant Restaurant Manager will be responsible for motivating the team, communicating with the restaurant, kitchen and other departments ensuring all standards are met. The Assistant Restaurant Manager will be passionate about food and beverages and delivering amazing hospitality to the hotel guests. You will need to be extremely well organised, an excellent communicator and a hands on Supervisor/Manager. Experience of working in a similar quality Hotel is essential, and knowledge of food, wines and beverages is a pre-requisite. In this role the successful candidate will assist the Restaurant Manager and be responsible for the overall Food & Beverage provision in their absence. Responsibilities and duties will include but not be restricted to: • Ensuring each shift is fully resourced and operationally ready. • Interaction with guests for Quality Assurance purposes in addition to creating an exceptional fine dining experience. • Forecasting daily, based on trends, staffing and kitchen needs. • Liaising regularly with other departments on guest requirements. • Ensure that all food service meets the restaurants exceptionally high standards. • Manage all recruitment and provide training within the restaurant. • Inspect and review all areas for cleaning and maintenance. • Manage stock control, ordering and replenishment. You must be courteous and focused on providing a consistently high standard of customer service, must be standards driven and detail-orientated with the ability to organise and plan ahead and have the ability to lead, multi-task, and make sound decisions in fast-paced environment.
