It takes a special kind of person to deliver care the Home Instead way. You don't need experience in care, but you do need compassion, empathy and a kind heart. Our CAREGivers help our elderly clients remain living independently in their own home, supporting them with personal care, home help and companionship. You will be helping them with things that they are unable to do for themselves and taking time to make their day that bit more special. Working with Home Instead Senior Care is completely different to working with other care providers. Some of the reasons are: - Our visits are a minimum of one hour, which means our Home Care Workers really do get time to care. (The average call time across the UK is 18 minutes) - Our care is completely person-centred; it is typically what you would want for your own family. - We promise our clients that they will never get a stranger - all Home Care Workers are introduced to clients first. - Home Instead Senior Care is the most recommended care provider in the UK. - Home Instead in Exeter & East Devon has been rated as 'Outstanding' by Care Quality Commission Our clients need support throughout the day - every day, especially early mornings and evenings, so we are looking for people that are available to work in the mornings, lunchtimes and / or evenings to include alternate weekends. We can accommodate full or part time hours, dependent on your availability. Ideally you will have your own car as our clients like to get out and about. Also getting from client to client is much easier with your own transport. You will be paid for mileage for travel in between client visits and when taking a client out in your car. A care background is helpful but not essential as we offer full training which includes classroom training and shadow visits. The essential qualities that we look for are compassion, empathy and a caring nature. Pay rates are between £8.25 and £12.00 per hour, dependent on the type of support you are offering, your level of qualification and when you are working. There are extra enhancements for bank holidays.
