Trial Balance Consulting have been assigned by an established civil engineering business who seek to recruit a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their substantial finance team in Newton Abbot. Reporting directly to the Purchase Ledger Manager the main purpose of the role will be responsibility for diligent processing of the purchase ledger invoices

Duties will include:
- Scan and verify invoices
- Follow invoices for allocated suppliers through workflow
- Raise internal/external queries in respect of allocated invoices on a timely basis ensuring that they are actioned/chased on a regular basis
- Liaise with suppliers in respect of issues arising on payment and administration, answering all enquiries in a professional and friendly manner
- Respond to suppliers written enquiries when required
- Assist in other purchase ledger related ad hoc duties, as required

The idea candidate will:
- Have experience in a similar role
- Have excellent IT and administration skills
- Have experience of using Excel
- Be able to work off own initiative and prioritise workload
