Due to continued growth and success, they are currently recruiting for a Skills Support Tutor. This is a rewarding role where you will be responsible for working with young learners (16 – 19 years), you will be required to deliver support to enable learners to achieve English, Maths and ICT Level 1, 2 and 3 in Functional Skills qualifications. Duties & Responsibilities: • Planning for programme delivery and producing schemes of work and lesson plans • Delivering knowledge/practical skills sessions to learners • Evaluating the effectiveness of teaching and learning activities • Negotiating, agreeing and carrying out assessments using different methods and evidence types • Liaising with others involved in the assessment process • Making sound, objective assessment decisions based on requirements • Providing constructive feedback to learners • Identifying and dealing with any barriers to fair assessment and supporting these • Reviewing and updating individual learning plans • Completing and maintaining safe, secure and accurate records using e-based systems Candidate Requirements: • Literacy and Numeracy qualifications (up to Level 4 specialism) • Industry-specific and relevant qualifications, and experience of the sector • Able to build successful relationships with learners and employers • Excellent communication skills and previous experience of working with adults • Organised, with good time management and administrative skills • Willing to travel, have your own car and possess a full, valid driving licence • Undertake an enhanced Disclosure & Barring Scheme (DBS) check Benefits: • Upskilling opportunities to enhance your personal development • Workplace pension scheme • Discounted gym membership • NUS card • 30 days annual leave, rising to 33 after 1 year (including Bank Holidays) • Starting salary: circa £22,500 Hours are full time (Monday to Thursday 8.30am to 5.00pm, Friday 8.30am to 4.30pm).
