Senior Building Surveyor

Our client is a long established medium sized private surveying practice with offices across the South West. The have an enviable portfolio of public sector, University, Registered provider and commercial framework clients. Due to the continued growth of the company they are looking to appoint a Senior Building Surveyor to support a number of existing key framework appointments as well as a variety of projects across the private sector. The ideal candidate will have a project focus and be comfortable on refurbishment and new build projects alike. You will also have a working knowledge the principal designer role and have a track record of managing projects from start to finish. Key Duties, - Advising, co-ordinating, and full delivery of refurbishment, Fit out and new-build projects ranging from £100k to £5m from inception to completion. - Tender management and evaluation, contract administration, valuation and certification Preparation of cost reports and final accounts - Liaising with clients on all aspects of their project. - Preparation of contract documents, with experience of JCT contracts - Preparation of Design Risk Assessments under CDM2015 - Inspection of buildings for schedules of condition Key Qualifications. - Degree level qualification in Building Surveying - MRICS - Minimum 5 years PQE - Background in project work from £100k to £5m with public sector bias including social housing gained from a similar private practice - Managing and supervising graduate level staff In return for your hard work you will be rewarded with an excellent salary, up to 30 days holiday per year and contributory pension.
