An exciting and challenging opportunity has arisen for an ambitious and self motivated Paraplanner for our client based in Exeter. This role will suit a degree qualified Financial Planning professional with strong report writing and research skills to deliver Paraplanning services in support of an established and highly successful advisory team. You will be providing a high quality financial planning service to advisers, preparing reports and reviewing portfolios whilst complying with the requirements of the FCA and the standards set out by the partners of the firm. Accountabilities & Examples of Key Activities · To carry out high quality analysis and preparation of client proposals on behalf of Advisers · To prepare recommendations, undertake research to identify suitable solutions · To prepare suitability reports in accordance with agreed recommendations · To establish and build strong relationships with clients · To ensure that the firm’s clients are treated fairly at all times · To maintain effective communication with clients via telephone or face to face · To use own initiative to carry out day to day duties independently for the most part, having recourse where appropriate to the supervising partner for support and advice · To carry out general administration and other duties within the office as required. · To ensure compliance to the standards set out by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and the Firm’s own standards. F unctional Skills, Knowledge and Experience Appropriate formal qualifications desirable but not essential Detailed knowledge of the FCA’s rules and requirements Highly numerate, excellent report writing skills Evidence of strong commercial awareness through previous experience within the Financial services or other related sector Personal Attributes Organised methodical approach to work Excellent inter-personal skills Very good attention to detail Willingness to learn new skills Strong work ethic This role will suit a Paraplanner who seeks an opportunity within a vibrant and energetic firm committed to personal and professional development.
