We're really excited about opening our new flagship extra care service in Totnes, Devon and we're looking for somebody exceptional to run it for us Quayside is a new state of the art housing with care development, providing modern, independent living for those aged 55 and over and it will open this autumn. We want to you to help us to improve people's lives and create possibilities for them If you are interested in leading on this exciting opportunity and would like an informal discussion about this role, please contact Robin MacIntosh, Head of Community Services at Guinness Care on The Role: - To lead on and oversee the preparations for the opening and commissioning of this exciting new service - To lead on the delivery of all services once the building and service is commissioned. - To manage a core team which will include a Concierge, a wellbeing team/carers and work with Guinness colleagues from other specialist teams to deliver a seamless service - To deliver an integrated housing and care service including all aspects of tenancy management and care delivery - To coordinate the delivery of home care to customers within the extra care service as and when this is commissioned. - To liaise proactively with a range of statutory and voluntary partners to create the best opportunities and experiences for our customers. - To lead on the provision of excellent health and wellbeing services for customers based on their needs. - To ensure compliance with all current Health and Safety and Fire Safety, CQC and DP legislation to protect customers, colleagues, visitors and the building. The Person: - Inspirational leader with experience in recruiting, driving high performance, developing and retaining colleagues. - A motivational leader with an aptitude for managing multi-disciplinary teams and the ability to establish and maintain internal & external relationships. - Excellent experience of managing the delivery of a high quality care practice, including safeguarding. - Proven track record in Housing, Health & Social Care. - Performance management including formal disciplinary processes. - The ability to manage conflict, difficult behaviour and complaints following Guinness Care policies & behaviours. - Outstanding communication skills. - Experience of managing budgets. - Aptitude for using Housing Management Systems e.g. Northgate. Essential computer literacy - Experience of liaison with external professional agencies.
