With offices across the UK, a job with them could be just around the corner. An excellent opportunity has now arisen for a Project Manager to join them in Exeter. Within this role, the Project Manager will act as a bridge between the field based team and the office based team for a range of projects for the Housing Maintenance and Facilities Management Divisions. Initially you will focus on housing development projects, but the scope will be expected to grow to include all projects undertaken by the field team, both through direct project management of large projects (expected top 5 to be directly managed) and then support with up-skilling of others to follow best practices for other projects. In order to be successful in this role, it is essential that you have previous experience of working in a project management role coupled with knowledge of project management principles and methodology (PRINCE2 etc). With the ability to influence and persuade others in the application and use of methodologies, you will be able to help embed and promote project management within the department. Although not essential, knowledge of Agile, DevOps and other software development practices and approaches would be beneficial. Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Project and Visio software and tools would also be an advantage. The successful candidate will ideally be based in Exeter or would require 2/3 days per week in office. National travel will be required. Travel costs to be covered; car or car allowance available subject to successful completion of probation.
