At Green Tree Court, we have an exciting new opportunity for an experienced Chef de Partie. The job will involve running a section within our kitchen brigade, working as part of our expert catering team at our ‘Outstanding’ nursing and dementia home in Exeter. Recently inspected by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), we are thrilled to announce our new status as an Outstanding-rated care home, with a special mention of our ‘knowledgeable staff’ and ‘bespoke, nutritious’ meals. This is like no other job in a care setting. You’ll be tasked with dishing up culinary excellence on a daily basis, taking food to the next level. You will be expected to work collaboratively as part of our catering team to ensure our residents and guests have an exceptional dining experience at every meal. All our food is cooked to order and our a la carte menus change daily, so there’s plenty of variety. We strive for excellence and this has been recognised on a national level, with our Head Chef, Tim Ware recently scooping the Chef of the Year Award at the 18 th consecutive National Care Awards. We are passionate about local ingredients, home-made dishes and home-baked products, with Tim’s award winning menu featuring Home Smoked Salmon, served with Local Heritage Beetroot and Herb Yoghurt, followed by Beef Bourguignon, Slow Braised Greendale Farm Beef Brisket, served with Jerusalem Artichoke and Maris Piper Potatoes. Dessert sweetened palettes with Roast Pumpkin Cheesecake served with Devon Mead and Organic Oats. If you have an appetite to develop and grow your culinary skills, we can provide you with an on-site training programme, delivered by our award-winning team, plus your uniform will be provided and laundered in-house. We are offering the successful candidate a family friendly, flexible rota, working full time up to 40 hours per week, with shifts between 7am and 8pm.
